How to Create Content that Gets You Leads

October 1, 2021

Is this you?

"I never know what to post."

"Content is a waste of time, because no one ever contacts me."

Create content in this framework, and I guarantee that you'll start to get more leads.⠀

I publish content like this all the time, and I have sales calls set up every week.

Get More Customers to Discover You Online

All you have to do is talk about your customer's problems, from their point of view.

Follow their line of thinking, which is also known as the customer journey.

Here's an example.

Imagine a headshot photographer wants to start writing content for her website and social media.

The Unaware

Educate the people who aren't yet aware that they even have a problem.

Here's the type of article the headshot photographer would create:

  • 3 Signs Your Selfie is Hurting You on LinkedIn

The Problem Aware

A person who is problem aware knows what their challenge is. They're in the research phase, which means they want to know more about what it is, or how to define it. They also want to know what they can do about it.

Here are articles that the photographer would create for this stage in the customer journey:

  • What is a Headshot Photo
  • How to Do Your Own Headshot Photo

The Solution Aware

The solution aware person knows that there are solution providers out there, but they don't know that you are one of those yet.

So you'll want to show case studies, success stories, or testimonials to show that you have a proven track record solving these problems for clients.

Our example photographer could write an article like this:

  • How Joe Got 2X LinkedIn Contacts After Updating His Photo

The Product Aware

This person now knows about products like yours, but they don't know why yours is the right one for them.

What works well is content that pinpoints their objections or fears, which is also what you should be doing in the sales call.

  • Top 5 Poses for Men and Women
  • What to Do With Your Hands in Photos

Try it out. Let me know how it goes, or if you have any questions.

The life you want is waiting for you.
